Preventing theft of your assets
For both individuals and businesses, vehicle security is of great importance. The most effective preventive measure against vehicle theft is the immobilizer: an electronic system that prevents a vehicle from being started without the correct identification. This keeps unauthorized users out and ensures your fleet remains optimally protected.

Immobilizer - How Does It Work?
An immobilizer is an effective security system preventing a vehicle from starting without proper identification. This identification method can range from keys to advanced technologies like RFID tags and buttons. Immobilizers are classified into different classes based on their 'attack-and-sabotage' resistance.
Class 1: This is the most common type, providing basic security, resistant to attacks for up to 5 minutes, often found in standard passenger cars.
Class 2:Offering a higher level of security, resistant to attacks for up to 15 minutes, commonly used in vehicles requiring increased security.
Class 3:The highest level of immobilizer security, including Class 2 immobilization along with an integrated car alarm, offering the utmost protection against theft and break-ins.
Meet Insurance Requirements with the Right Security Level
Complying with insurance requirements is just as important as the technical security itself. Many insurance companies require vehicles to be equipped with a certain security level - such as an immobilizer - to qualify for theft insurance.
Choosing the right level of protection depends on your situation. For a standard passenger car, a Class 1 immobilizer is often sufficient. If you own a high-value vehicle or require extra protection, a Class 2 immobilizer is the ideal choice. In both cases, an immobilizer provides a significant contribution to protecting your vehicle against theft.
Regent offers advanced vehicle management solutions with integrated immobilizer support and real-time monitoring, further strengthening your vehicle security - fully compliant with insurance requirements and tailored to the needs of your organization.
